Levelling tanks with exchangeable membranes


Pressure expansion tanks CIMM, type ACS, are intended for levelling of changes of fluid volume during the temperature changes in stack water heaters.
The pressure tank has two parts divided by a rubber fibre. In one part there is situated a pressure water, in the second part there is an air with defined overpressure. That way created air cushion absorbs changes of pressure and volume of the liquid part that is connected to the hot service water system.
A suitable expansion tank avoids an eventual leakage of the safety valve and increased stress of the pressure tank during hot water heating. The size of an expansion tank can be calculated only according the standard ČSN 060830 in dependence on usable volume of the stack water heater.
